Nick joined Dyer in 1995 following a successful career as a partner in a Midlands based practice. He was promoted to Associate in 1998, Project Director in 2005 and Associate Director in 2009.
As a key team member in driving forward the DyerProcess initiative, Nick is involved in all aspects of the management of Dyer as a business and also its portfolio of projects. His particular expertise is contract based and he has led major projects in both the public and private sectors. His role involves the collation and preparation of client briefs and ‘design intent’ documents, the co-ordination of consultants’ information, the supervision of production information (including drawings and specifications) and post contract management. He has often adopted an assessor role for clients, appraising bids for specialist bio-medical research facilities, for example. He has also acted as site co-ordinator on two major PFI hospital projects, a role which involved close teamwork with cost consultants, structural and services engineers and package contractors.
Nick has worked on large, public sector buildings for corporate and government clients. Many of these projects have included high-spec, secure elements such as datacentres etc.
