This system is called ‘DyerProcess’ and it prescribes the way we run both our business and our project portfolio.

We pride ourselves on achieving timely delivery through robust design methodology, coordinated information and team communication. We minimise risk to our clients by identifying the procurement route most suited to their needs and guaranteeing a project audit trail where change is skillfully managed and feedback welcomed. DyerProcess is intrinsically geared towards realising projects on time and to budget; achieving best value for our clients over the lifetime of our projects; and providing a continually improving service.

DyerLab is the research and development arm of the practice. This tightly focused group is tasked with testing and pushing the use of emerging technologies as design and business tools. DyerLab’s primary aim is to provide our staff with opportunities to ‘upskill’ in creative and innovative design. It keeps our business at the forefront of new ways of working, continuously raising the bar of the practice within the architectural industry.

DyerLab is currently engaged in the following areas:

• Media: visualisation, animation and graphics.
• Parametric & Generative Design
• Building Information Modelling (B.I.M.): 3d workflows, collaboration and simulation software
• Business Systems: document management and image database
• Remote Working: linking our global partners and clients using video conferencing and interactive web based technologies.

In over forty years of practice, Dyer has built up a varied portfolio of projects, including specialist building types. Our systems support lean thinking and the recycling of knowledge into the blood stream of the practice. Driven by the evolving needs of our clients and the changing demands of the built environment, we operate a number of Research & Development groups to address key sector issues and encourage innovative thinking. We maintain membership of a range of professional bodies (including the British Council for Offices and the British Council of Shopping Centres) and participate widely in industry conferences and events.
